Hi there! I'm Lori, and along with my fiancé, Ted, we're so thrilled to welcome you to our Heartland Retreats. As Midwesterners at heart—I grew up outside Canton, Illinois, and Ted grew up outside Dubuque, Iowa, both on farms. We love taking scenic drives and exploring quiet country backroads. When we found these homes, they were true 'fixer-uppers,' but we poured our hearts into completely renovating them. We designed and decorated every room to be our own cozy retreat for visiting family and friends. We’re so excited to open our doors and share that same comfort and warmth with you. We'd love to host your next getaway, reunion, business trip or family get together!

The Linwood Retreat
“Linwood” comes from the Old English words meaning "A Woodland of Linden Trees." Historically known as the Tree of Peace, it represents sanctuary and gathering. As a perfect nod to its real-world roots, our home in located in a neighborhood connected directly to Canton’s own Linden Street.

Blending boutique-inspired interiors with the warmth of a classic Midwestern home, it offers a relaxing place to settle in, reconnect, and enjoy your stay.
